The Australia Desk gets its own site

For over a year we have been producing the Australia Desk segment for the Airplane Geeks podcast. In fact, the Plane Crazy Down Under podcast grew out of the Australia Desk work that Steve & Grant were doing.

To help provide an archive of these segments and allow quick reference for people wanting to check out our work, we have set up an online collection of all the Australia Desk segments. You can find it at:

Introducing “Flying Down Under” on Flight Time Radio

We are proud to announce the introduction of a new segment called “Flying Down Under.” Produced every two weeks for Milford & Charlie at the Flight Time Radio show, the segment provides information about flying aircraft here in Australia. Where our Australia Desk segement for the Airplane Geeks podcast focuses primarily on Airline and Military aviation, the “Flying Down Under” segment covers Recreational Aviation, General Aviation, warbirds, antiques and history.

Flight Time Radio is broadcast every Saturday morning on radio WBOB in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. It also appears on Flight Line Internet Radio, a streaming radio station dedicated to aviation news and shows with a variety of music. This will certainly help boost awareness of the Plane Crazy Down Under show and our content, so we’re very happy that Milford & Charlie have offered us this chance to create content for their show.

Introducing PCDU Commentaries

We’ve added a blog for the Plane Crazy Down Under team to use when making their comments & observations about the aviation industry & environment down under. Called PCDU Commentaries, it’s where we’ll post our thoughts about aviation that arise as we read the news, interview people and produce the show.

To kick things off, we’ve rolled in some articles that Grant wrote on his Fly Me Friendly blog along with a couple of new ones only found at PCDU Commentaries.

We hope you’ll check it out and subscribe to its RSS feed.
